Privacy Policy pursuant to GDPR

Unless otherwise stated below, you do not need to provide your personal data for legal or contractual reasons, nor do you need to provide data in order to enter into a contract. You are not obliged to provide personal data. There will be no consequences if you do not provide them. This applies only to the extent that the processing operations set out below do not specify otherwise.

Server log files

You may visit our website without the need to provide any personal data.

Contact initiated by the customer via e-mail

If you initiate business contact with us by e-mail, we will only collect the personal data (name, e-mail address, message) that you provide. The data are processed for the purpose of handling and responding to your contact request.

If contact is made within the context of pre-contractual measures (e.g. consultation in connection with an interest in making a purchase, preparing an offer) or relates to a contract already concluded between you and us, we process these data in accordance with Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

If contact is made for other reasons, the data are processed in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR due to our overriding legitimate interest in processing and responding to your query. In this case, you have the right to object at any time tosuch processing of your personal data on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR for reasons relating to your particular circumstances.

We only use your e-mail address to handle your query. Your data will then be deleted in line with statutory retention periods where you have not consented to their further processing and use.

Collection and processing of data via the contact form

When you get in touch with us via the contact form, we only process the personal data (name, e-mail address, message) that you provide. The data are processed for contact purposes.

Customer account

When you open a customer account, we collect your personal data to the extent specified therein. The data are processed for the purpose of simplifying the fulfilment of your order. Processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1) (a) with your consent. You may revoke your consent at any time by notifying us without this having an effect on legal validity of the processing that took place based on your consent up to the point consent is revoked. Your customer account will then be deleted.

Advertising

Use of e-mail address to send newsletters

Irrespective of the fulfilment of a contract, we will use your e-mail address exclusively to send you our newsletters for our own advertising purposes, provided that you have expressly consented to this. Processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1) (a) with your consent. You may revoke this consent at any time without this having an effect on legal validity of the processing that took place based on your consent up to the point consent is revoked. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the corresponding link in the newsletter or by notifying us. Your e-mail address will then be deleted from our distribution list. Your data will be forwarded to a service provider for e-mail marketing as part of the processing of an order. Data are not forwarded to other third parties.

Payment service provider

Payment processing, including SEPA direct debit mandates, is handled by SOALGU.

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored in the internet browser or by the internet browser on a user’s computer system. Data subject rights and retention period

After the contract has been fulfilled, the data will initially be retained for the duration of the warranty period, and thereafter by taking into account statutory retention periods, in particular those required under tax and commercial law, and will then be deleted after this period has expired, unless you have consented to their further processing and use.

You have the following rights under Articles 15 to 20 and Article 7(3) GDPR, provided the statutory requirements are met: right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability.

Right of revocation

If your personal data are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6 (1) f GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to such processing with future effect for reasons due to your particular circumstances.

Following an objection, the data concerned will no longer be processed unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or if the processing serves the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims. The only data excluded from deletion are data which we need to process outstanding orders or to assert our rights and claims, as well as data which we are required to retain by law.
